Yin Yoga

Description
This slow, meditative style of yoga focuses on passive stretching and holding poses for extended periods of time. Benefits include increased flexibility and joint mobility, releases tension and stress, calms and balances the mind and body, and encourages deeper breathing and relaxation. NO prior Yoga experience is needed. Mats, bolsters, and straps are available to borrow for class. Bring your own if you prefer. Dress in layers as the movements are slow and can decrease circulation. Be prepared to get on the floor.
